Peel and roughly chop 0.5 potato and 0.25 fresh onion
Wash 0.5 broccoli with cold water and roughly cut into medium-sized pieces
Add 0.5 teaspoon olive oil to medium-sized saucepan and heat carefully over high heat until hot
Add onions into saucepan and sauté on high heat until soft
Add potato and broccoli to onions and sauté on medium heat for 2 minutes
Prepare 175 millilitres chicken stock according to instructions on packaging
Pour stock and 50 millilitres whole milk gently over sauteed vegetables and boil the mixture on high heat for 2 minutes
Cook broccoli soup on low heat for 12 minutes
Let soup cool down to room temperature
Blend soup with hand blender until smooth
Bring soup to the boil over high heat
Season soup lightly with 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
