Food Waste is food that is produced for human consumption but gets lost on the way from the field to our palate, e.g., when it is thrown away. About one third of all food ends up as food waste and almost 30% of this amount is caused by households. Foodsave summarises all activities that prevent or reduce food waste. Food waste at home can be reduced by turning all bought ingredients into dishes instead of throwing some of them away.
